It is a more than unusual experience. In Campneuseville, in the Pays de Bray, a former bunker of the German launch base for WWII V1 flying bombs, has been rehabilitated to make it a life-size escape game. Inside, the visitors, in teams of 2 to 6, have one hour to accomplish their mission, thanks to clues and riddles. The object of the game: you are British infiltrators and you must recover the plans of the Germans to help the Allied Command.
Authentic objects
“It’s really period, we are really immersed in it. In addition with the ambient sounds it’s excellent, I feel like I’m there, says Cassandre, one of the day’s undercover agents.
“We rehabilitated the place as it should have been when the Germans left after the landingexplains Samuel Suard, one of the two founders of the game. Inside, you will find furniture and authentic objects from the Second World War that we went to glean all over France and in Eastern countries for two years.

For him, the objective is of course to entertain but it also allows discover the story differently: “It has to be fun but it also has to be educational, that’s the interest of the place. There is a real cultural interest.”
