“We are happy to be able to work and to be able to welcome customers”, reacted on franceinfo Alexandre Maulin, the president of the Ski areas of France, while the Prime Minister Jean Castex specified the conditions of opening of the ski resorts for this season.
The health pass will be requested if the health situation deteriorates and if the incidence rate reaches 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. “It is a clear roadmap that allows us not to relive the injustice of last year” with the closing of the stations. “Between being closed like last year and working with the health pass, I think we have all made our choice“, he adds.
The mask will also be compulsory in the queues of the ski lifts, an obligation that will not put off customers according to Alexandre Maulin. “Today you can buy neck warmers to Afnor standards, there are easy solutions”, he noted, “It’s not going to scare people, we got used to it, so let’s be happy to welcome customers.”
The president of the Domaines skiables de France is also reassuring about the number of seasonal workers in the resorts. “We have less trouble than elsewhere, a few seasonal workers are missing, but we will be ready for the opening of the stations, with a smile and the joy of meeting again”, he assured.
