About ten days before the launch of the second season of the island of love on TVA, the production has decided to oust one of its candidates who has been the subject of numerous denunciations on social networks since the official announcement of his participation in reality TV.
“Although all Islanders have been subjected to criminal background checks which have not revealed anything, the allegations reported in the last few hours [jeudi] were taken very seriously. Productions Déferlantes and Quebecor Content have made the decision to put an end to Adam’s career as of now, ”announced the production on its social networks Thursday evening.
She had just revealed the same morning the identity of the first five candidates who would take part in the adventure and would fly to Las Terrenas, in the Dominican Republic, in order to find love there.
The presence among them of Adam, 22, quickly raised a wave of discontent among the public. Within hours, criticism about him multiplied on Instagram and Tiktok. Several women have denounced his behavior as “toxic” and “dangerous”, alleging that they have already been “harassed” by the candidate.
Adam was therefore excluded from the adventure, his portrait was deleted in the process on the website and the social networks of the show.
At the time these lines were written, TVA had not yet responded to the To have to as to whether this departure would have an effect on the production of the reality show which is to be broadcast on April 18.
This is not the first time that a candidate for a reality show has seen his participation called into question in this way. Last fall, the former candidate forDouble occupation Alexandre Patry Poirier had also been the subject of denunciations on social networks when viewers discovered his presence in the program which took place in Western Canada.
The production team had quickly noticed his aggressive and unpredictable behavior themselves and had to intervene to call him to order from the first days, before officially excluding him.
