“I am a regional from regional”

Jean-Luc Reichmann, the actor and presenter of “12 Coups de Midi” on TF1, talks about the places he likes in France. Toulouse, Corsica, the Grand Est or even Auvergne… Place(s) in the France of Jean-Luc Reichmann!

Jean-Luc Reichmann, one of the favorite television hosts of the French, is as he points out “a regional from regional”. Born in Seine-et-Marne, he grew up in Haute-Garonne and spent all his childhood with vacations in Brittany, Burgundy and Haute-Savoie. His professional life in Paris which led him to visit France regularly, but it was ultimately in Auvergne that he dreamed of spending more time.

Seat(s) at, it is an opportunity to discover a personality in a more intimate way through places to which it is attached. This time, it’s the comedian and host, Jean-Luc Reichmann, which reveals to us the important places of his life.

His birth on a scooter

Jean-Luc Reichmann proclaims it, he is the son of a mammoth! A reference to his t-shirt, but above all to his father, former Director of the Mammouth supermarket in Toulouse in the 80s. Although Jean-Luc Reichmann grew up in the pink city, it is in Fontainebleau in Seine-et-Marne that he sees the light of day. It was during a scooter ride that her mother’s water broke, forcing her father to take her urgently to the maternity ward.

I was born on a scooter!

His holidays in the four corners of France

As a child, Jean-Luc Reichmann spent all his summer holidays in Brittany, in Quiberon in Morbihan. He was also shared with his maternal grandparents who lived in Burgundy, in Sens in Yonneand his paternal grandparents who lived in Haute-Savoie. Three completely different regions that forged his love for France.

I am truly a regional from regional!

Toulouse, the city of his childhood

Jean-Luc Reichmann grew up in The Union near Toulouse, on national road 88 (the Tarn road). He spent almost 27 years there. What best represents, for him, the capital of the Occitanie region, is without hesitation the Place du Capitol! There is always something going on there, political or sporting events, it is also the privileged meeting place for Toulouse residents, friends and family.

Toulouse is pink brick and the Toulouse accent of the South-West.

His favorite for Corsica

He discovered the Isle of Beauty about twenty years ago. Since then, Jean-Luc Reichmann has returned in Corsica several times a year with his tribe and his friends. With eyes starting to shine, he talks about the ties he has forged with the locals, who take the time to get to know you, but “once accepted, you become part of the family”!

Corsica is invigorating, lively and relaxing.

The regions he would rather discover

Jean-Luc Reichmann is very attracted by the Great East, whom he knows a little. From his time with TF1, he remembers cities that are always very flowery, with an elegance and a spontaneous spirit of their inhabitants. People are super welcoming, they give without thinking.

He knows the North, West, Brittany, but one day he would like to turn into Auvergne, in Puy-de-Dôme, or in Aveyron. We are lucky to have large spaces in France where there is nothing!

His fondness for regional dishes

Very gourmet, Jean-Luc Reichmann never says no to regional specialities! Sauerkraut, cassoulet, andouille de Guéméné, boudin bourguignon, bouillabaisse or even seafood platters… A real epicurean!

I’m crazy about all this, but I have to be careful, otherwise I’ll look like a mammoth.
