Stade Lavallois continues and confirms week after week that it is certainly the best placed to access Ligue 2 next season. After its success in Bourg-en-Bresse eight days ago, the Tango confirmed at home by dominating Sedan 3 to 0.
After a good start, it’s Sebastien Da Silva who opened the scoring (15′), with a long pass from Julien Maggiotti for Kevin Perrot which achieves a magnificent control. It’s the striker’s second goal this season, but the first in the game after his penalty on the very first matchday.
Sedan reduced to ten
Then, the Stadium masters and gets chances but without managing to score.
In the second half, Sedan proved to be more dangerous but the Laval residents restored the balance. And then there is this expulsion of the Sedan captain twenty minutes from the end. This is the turning point of the game. In the aftermath, Laval scored the second goal (N’Chobi) and even the third (Roye) to seal the victory. This is the biggest success for Laval residents this season.
In the standings, six days from the end, Laval is widening the gap by now counting eight points ahead of Concarneau (3rd) and nine over Villefranche (4th). We do not see what could prevent Stade Lavallois from obtaining its ticket for Ligue 2.
The Tango are playing again on Friday with a trip to Saint-Brieuc.
