No representative of the group has come to Las Vegas, where the great celebration of the American music industry is being held this year, but a tribute is planned during the gala in the evening.

The Foo Fighters won Grammys for Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Performance.

The group, which had already won 12 Grammy Awards in previous editions, had announced the cancellation of all concerts on its 2022 world tour after the death of Taylor Hawkins, 50, just before a concert in Bogota.

The drummer, one of the pillars of the group of which he was a part since 1997, died at the end of March in a hotel in the Colombian capital. A toxicological analysis revealed by the Colombian prosecutor’s office reported THC (cannabis), antidepressants and opiates in his body, without giving the reasons for his death.

The Foo Fighters, the group of Dave Grohl, the ex-drummer of Nirvana, celebrated their 25and anniversary last year and had recently produced Studio 666a rock horror film.

Tributes poured in across the rock world, from legendary Ozzy Osbourne to punk Billy Idol and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
