Seven arrested and five weapons seized following routine downtown call

Seven suspects were arrested and five firearms were seized Thursday in downtown Montreal as part of an operation targeting individuals suspected of belonging to a vehicle theft ring.

The suspects are Dylan Timothy Weijs-Fry, 36; Emanuel Meti Samel, 27 years old; Sharon Lea Sebbag, 22; Leel Alon, 20; Filip Bogdanovic, 20, and Tianna Berberian, 18. They appeared Friday at the Montreal courthouse on charges of possession of firearms.

The seventh suspect arrested, a minor, was released.

These seven people were arrested Thursday morning following a routine call concerning an altercation in an apartment located at the corner of Sainte-Catherine Street West and Chomedey Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police noted the presence of four men, two women and a minor. They also noticed three handguns in the accommodation.
