Less than ten days before the first round of the presidential election, the level of abstention could exceed 28%, first-round polling record of 2002. The candidates seek to seduce the undecided.

Behind outgoing President Emmanuel Macron, Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon are seeking qualification for the second round of the presidential election. The level of abstention is one of the issues for the candidates. “We could exceed 28%, the 2002 record”explains journalist Serge Clino. “Marine Le Pen must remember the results of the 2021 regional elections.
