This will undoubtedly be the biggest game of the season for the TFC. The Violets welcome this Saturday at 3 p.m. Paris FC for the 31st day of Ligue 2. Exceptional meeting between the first and the second, which will be marked by a big highlight: the inauguration at half-time of the turn Christophe Revault, goalkeeper of the TFC from 2000 to 2006, died suddenly in May 2021. The West bend until then unoccupied most of the time, therefore covered is located opposite the Brice Taton bend of the UItras. We wait more than 27,000 spectators at the Stadiumunheard of (excluding rugby crowds with Stade Toulousain) for four years.
Priority to public transport
You have to go back to the reception of PSG in February 2018 to see so many football fans at the Stadium. At the time of course, the TFC was in Ligue 1, and the whole region flocked to Ramier to see Neymar, M’bappé, Rabiot, Di Maria and the others. The Toulousains lost 1-0 (goal csc from Diop) in front of more than 27,000 people. For this Saturday, the club has made available a total of 28,400 places. There are 1,200 left, most on the balconies, the most expensive between 40 and 60 euros. It will be whatever happens this April 2, 2022 in Toulouse the best attendance of the season in Ligue 2. The club advises supporters to arrive as early as possible, the doors will be open from 1 p.m. And faced with such an influx, it is advisable to do not go to Ramier by car and to favor public transport by parking for example in the Relais car parks (Borderouge, la Vache, Ramonville, Balma-Gramont, Argoulets, Jolimont, Arènes) before taking the metro.
This season, the Stadium had welcomed a maximum of 15,000 spectators for the reception of Sochaux in November, and it was already a good performance. The best attendance in the league this year, which will therefore fall on Saturday, is to the credit of Le Havre with the Norman derby against Caen, on March 19 and 19,000 places occupied. The record for all seasons in Ligue 2 is held by RC Lens, out of category in its den of Bollaert which had evenings with 38,000 supporters present in 2017.
A partnership with paying students
The TFC can notably rely this season on a successful partnership: the Tolosa Students Club. Eight Toulouse schools joined last summer, such as INSA, ENAC, TBS and the most active AMOS (school of sports trades), TSM and the Staps sector of Paul-Sabatier. The club assures them several hundred places at low prices, 5 euros often. And above all, he involves them in the animations. This Saturday, for example, it is the students of AMOS who will raise the flags during the Se Canto: “We will be on the lawn in front of 25,000 spectators, it’s crazy, marvels Elodie Robin, the head of the association office at the rue Bayard school. There is a passion, a love for the club that increases over the matches, including for students who are not from the region“.
The students of the Tolosa Students Club, usually several hundred each match day at the Stadium, generally occupy the places just below the bodega, next to the Brice Taton bend. But this April 2, there will be so many of them that at the last moment, the club freed up a thousand seats in the future Christophe Revault bend, opposite.
The Violets supporters have planned to meet at 1 p.m. under the Stadium bridge on Saturday to party on the bus that transports the players.
