The city of vice will host Formula 1

The city of Las Vegas is a regular at international events and it took a new step on Wednesday when Formula 1 confirmed that its big circus would stop in Nevada from November 2023.

It will be a return to the city of vice for F1, which held races there in 1981 and 1982. This time, the drivers will have the opportunity to drive their single-seater between the hotels and casinos of the very famous “Las Vegas Strip”.

The track will have 14 turns and will be 6.12 kilometers long. Drivers will have to go around the circuit 50 times to complete the Grand Prix, which will be contested at night.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with our local partners to create a landmark event. Formula 1 has demonstrated its potential for many seasons and the Las Vegas Grand Prix will take it to the next level,” Greg Maffei, chairman of Liberty Media, which owns the motor racing championship, said in a statement.

Three events will thus be held on American soil from 2023, with the presentation of the Miami and Austin Grands Prix.
