Aged 69, Arians announces his retirement for a second time. He still remains within the Florida organization. He will work in the management team as a consultant and with player personnel.
Todd Bowles will take over. The 58-year-old had served as the squad’s defensive coordinator for more than three years. He had joined the ranks of the Bucs at the same time as Arians.
Two other members of the coaching staff, Larry Foote and Kacy Rodgers, will split defensive responsibilities in place of Bowles.
Before becoming a coach, Bowles spent eight years as a safety in the NFL. He wore the colors of the Washington Redksins and the 49ers from San Francisco.
