(New York) The spin-off series of Game Of Thronesthe highly anticipated House of the Dragonhits the airwaves Aug. 21, HBO announced Wednesday.

The Canadian premiere (in the original English version) will take place at the same time on Crave, Bell Media’s streaming platform. At this time, it is unknown when the French version will be put online. In an email, Bell Media said it hoped to offer it simultaneously, without lag.
The action of House of the Dragon takes place 200 years before Game Of Thrones (The iron Throne). This prequel is inspired by Fire and Blood (fire and blood) by George RR Martin, the novel behind the initial series. It tells the story of the Targaryens, one of the families at the heart of Game Of Thrones.
House of the Dragon will star Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel and Rhys Ifans.
