Tuesday, March 29, Emmanuel Macron spoke again by telephone with Vladimir Poutine. In front of the Élysée, the journalist Anne Bourse details the content of this discussion.
Tuesday, March 29, journalist Anne Bourse, in duplex from the Elysée, returns to the phone call between Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Poutine. “At the Élysée, we repeat that the dialogue remains frank between Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Poutine, but we also note that there have been no particular developments since a month of conflict”reports the journalist.
The conversation, which lasted an hour, concerned both the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, but also the humanitarian situation in the city of Mariupol (Ukraine). “Emmanuel Macron repeated that a truce was needed to evacuate the population and deliver aid”, continues Anne Bourse. Last week, a humanitarian operation was planned by France, Greece and Turkey. “But tonight, the Élysée finds that it is impossible to carry out at this stage, because there is still no ceasefire”concludes the journalist.
