Forwards Brendan Gallagher and Nick Suzuki did not participate in the Montreal Canadiens’ training on Friday, instead benefiting from a day of treatment.
The Canadian was back to work the day after a 6-2 loss to the New York Islanders. It was his ninth loss in 12 games this season, including six by a gap of at least three goals.
Gallagher recently missed a game last Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks with an injury. He also temporarily left Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.
In 11 games this season, Gallagher has scored two goals and two assists.
For its part, Suzuki has collected two goals and eight assists in 12 games this season.
The Canadian will host the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday. The Habs eliminated the Golden Knights in six games in the Stanley Cup semi-finals last spring.
