A model that is of paramount importance due to the segment in which it fits, it will be revisited to modernize a recipe that has barely been touched up since its infancy in 2014.

A first image communicated by Honda shows a simple detached rear light, suggesting a presentation that differs from its European counterpart which adopts a light block in one piece.

On the mechanical level, it is radio silence at Honda before the unveiling. However, we should expect a more complete choice than the current vintage driven by a four-cylinder atmospheric 1.8 L of barely 141 hp. Using the mills of the Civic, namely a 2L four-cylinder (151 hp) or a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder (180 hp), would make sense to ensure sustained competition with the Hyundai Kona and Subaru Crosstrek, among others.

Will we be entitled to a hybrid livery like in Europe? If Honda wants to stand out by possibly using the mechanics of the Accord hybrid, that’s probably one way to go. We will have answers to our questions in a few weeks.
