Two young people from Mayenne take part in a recognized slam competition this Saturday

Two young people from Mayenne will perform on the stage of the Théâtre de l’Archipel, this Saturday afternoon in Granville, in La Manche. Lilian, 12, and her sister Lisa, 18, participate in the Poetic Jousts, a slam competition, which welcomes participants from all over France and other French-speaking countries. They are accompanied by Anne Chazeaud, a French teacher who works at the Louis Launay college in Landivy and who gave them, in part, a taste for slam.

A text on the First World War

The two young people, from Landivy in North Mayenne, will slam in front of the audience of the Poetic Jousts gathered in Granville this Saturday, November 6. “Lisa and Lilian are going to be the first two slammers: this is what we call in slam, the calibration. It’s a kind of warm-up lap to create an atmosphere in the audience“, describes Anne Chazeaud, who had them as pupils at the college Louis Launay. Lilian and Lisa will not be able”enter the competition completely“reserved for adults, they obtained an exemption to open the Poetic Jousts.

Lilian, schooled in 5th, will present a text on the unknown soldier when he has still worked very little on the First World War.He managed entirely on his own“Says Anne Chazeaud. This teacher also introduced Lisa, Lilian’s sister to slam. The young woman is now 18 years old and continues to write texts.

It’s impressive how well he writes.
