“The surprise of this campaign is us. (…) The Reconquest is us!”, launched Eric Zemmour in front of the Place du Trocadéro, to conclude his meeting.
Before that, the main interested party notably mentioned his version of “assimilation” and took on board with him a number of French stars.
“Assimilation is laughing in front of Louis de Funès, Jean Dujardin or Depardieu. It’s crying while listening to Jacques Brel”said the presidential candidate. “It is to be moved by the beauty of Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot.”
The Reconquest candidate then recited a few lines from Victor Hugo’s poem Tomorrow from Dawn.
Eric Zemmour, during this same meeting with his faithful, called the voters of the Republicans and the National Rally “who are tired of seeing their ideas betrayed” to join him.
“I reach out my hand to you”he said in front of the Place du Trocadéro. “How much longer do you want to be spectators of the decline of your country?”he wondered.
And a new scandal, one!
In the middle of the meeting, and for long seconds, some Eric Zemmour supporters chanted “Macron Murderer!”. “Éric Zemmour lets a crowd shout ‘Macron assassin’. I strongly fight the outgoing president but letting an opponent be treated as a murderer is dangerous for the Republic. That’s certainly not the right! It’s not that’s my France!”, immediately commented Valérie Pécresse on Twitter.
