less sleep, but more sun!

It floats like summer air in the streets of Montpellier (Herault). On the Place de la Comédie, local residents sip coffee while waiting for summer time to change. On the night of Saturday March 26 to Sunday March 27, as every year since 1976, the hands will move forward one hour. This means one hour less sleep, but also one hour more sunshine. “It disturbs me”, confides a man who, a few days in advance, is already beginning to adapt his rhythm of life to the new schedules.

On the side of La Grande-Motte (Herault)restaurateurs rejoice. Longer days mean more customers. “It’s more suited to our pace too so it’s better”also believes a passer-by interviewed. The time change should have ended after 2021. The decision was postponed by the European Union, for lack of an agreement between the member countries.
