The Nantes town hall’s request was finally accepted by the Pays de la Loire prefecture. 43 days before the final of the Coupe de France, the municipality formalizes, this Friday evening, the creation of an area where up to 20,000 people can meet to encourage the Canaries from a distance in their quest for a first trophy in more than two decades. Two giant screens will be installed on the Saint-André and Saint-Pierre courtyards, near the cathedral, each placed on either side of the site.
A free and secure space
In a press release, the town hall indicates that discussions are continuing with the authorities in order to establish “an optimal reception, access and security system”l for fans of the Yellows.
