A vehicle fire spread to the structure of a residence on Tuesday in Quebec.
The firefighters were alerted shortly before 4 p.m. to a fire that quickly rose to 3rd alarm, at 13,525 rue de la Marianne.

A burning car was then in a garage attached to a two-story residence. The resident immediately evacuated his home without being injured.

About fifty sappers then made openings in the walls before completing the extinction of the blaze. The intervention lasted about an hour but the damage was significant.
The residence was equipped with functional smoke alarms on all floors. An investigation is underway.
