(Prince George) The Canadian team led by Kerri Einarson won their second straight game and fourth overall since the start of the World Women’s Curling Championship by crushing Japan 10-4 on Tuesday.

With the win, Canada joined Japan and two other teams tied for fourth with 4-2 records in the round robin.
The Canadians will face the Swedes (5-1) on Wednesday, in addition to pocketing a forfeit victory by virtue of the withdrawal of Scotland. After suffering two losses, the Scots were forced out of the tournament last Sunday after four team members tested positive for COVID-19.
Against Japan, the Canadians scored two runs in the second and fourth sets, then three with the hammer in the eighth end, never allowing Japanese captain Ikue Kitazawa’s foursome to score more than a run.
A steal of two in the ninth end sealed the game and Japan conceded the victory.
