Now all observers and journalists had to flee the city of Mariupol. “For the moment, all communications remain cut off and the martyrdom of Mariupol is likely to continue far from the cameras”says Stéphanie Perez, special correspondent in Odessa for France Télévisions. “An information black hole, since the last two Western journalists who were on site for an American agency were forced to flee. They were pursued, tracked down by Russian forces”reports Stephanie Perez.

“These American journalists were the eyes of the world in Mariupol, they are the ones who documented the bombardment of the maternity ward, that of the theater of the city, which became a refuge for thousands of inhabitants.
