The second stage of the Tour of Catalonia arrives in Perpignan this Tuesday afternoon, 67 years after its last appearance in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The cycling race promises a good poster for Perpignan in the media all over the world.
It was with the trophy in hand that the deputy mayor of Perpignan in charge of sports, Sébastien Ménard, came to the studios of France Bleu Roussillon on Tuesday morning. A few minutes later, he left for L’Escala, in the region of Girona, departure town of the second stage of the Tour of Catalonia. This stage arrives at the foot of Castillet, this Tuesday at the end of the afternoon. The third stage of La Volta will cross the Pyrénées-Orientales from Perpignan to Cerdagne this Wednesday.
