Despite the tumultuous relationships of the past, the love between father and son seems to be on the agenda again. Anthony Delon has never hidden the difficulties encountered in his relationship with his father, Alain Delon, and did not hesitate to talk about them in his book Between dog and wolf, published on March 10. This Sunday, March 20, the actor was on the set of 8:30 p.m. on Sundayon France 2, for precisely evoked this work, the relationship with his father, and to reveal some indiscretions on the Delon clan.
The actor first revealing what prompted him to write a book about his family: “The first desire to write came because I lost three loved ones: my godfather, my godmother Mireille, my father had a stroke and my mother was diagnosed three months later with fatal cancer”. As a result, Anthony Delon felt the need to talk about it and give an image of his family that fans probably ignored until now. “There, suddenly, I felt like a terrible emptiness, a cold. And I needed to hold them back, to stop the course of things in life, I needed to inscribe these images and these memories in the marble”he concluded.
A poignant testimony
Frankly, he evokes the complicated relationship he had with his father for a large part of his life. “For him, at 10, you are a man”, he confides. The son of Alain Delon finally concluding: “When he acted like that, he was not talking to me but to the child who was in him. It is a message of love, because me, I forgave. Today, we both took a step back. It’s important to put things down because, in life, you don’t know what can happen”.
Very moving words that did not fail to touch his younger brother, Alain-Fabien. The latter was quick to react when he heard the words of his elder, through his Instagram account. “Beautiful and true words. I’m proud of you and to be your brother. How to grow up within a family, where love would be the first victim of a curse, which would be transmitted from generation to generation”he wrote, accompanying his text with a few passages from his brother in the France 2 broadcast.
