The Montreal Canadiens’ school club in the ECHL made the announcement on Monday. St-Amant had a busy game on Friday, scoring the game-changing goal in a 1-0 Lions win over the Maine Mariners, but also stopping a shot with his face.
The native of Le Gardeur was going through a good streak with nets in his last three duels. The 25-year-old left winger leads the Lions with 18 goals in 32 games. He added nine assists for a total of 27 points.
In addition, St-Amant lent a hand to the Laval Rocket during the campaign, scoring six points in 14 games.
There are 16 duels left in the first season of the Mauricie representatives. The TVA Sports network will also be the broadcaster of seven of these games, including the next Lions at home, on March 29, against the Mariners.
