Lip Himalaya Hourglass, new emblem of the know-how of the cradle of watchmaking.
LIP unveils its new “Hourglass” cutout on its emblematic HIMALAYA model, in homage to one of the very first instruments for measuring time.
Visible in the filigree of the cut-out of the dial, the cogs of the self-winding skeleton movement reveal the time flowing like sand through an hourglass.
On the other hand, it is an ultra-modern construction that makes up this timepiece: 316L steel case, domed sapphire crystal, full-grain leather, faceted hands and indexes, automatic winding movement.
The French brand atexceptional story offers here the best of both worlds, with the “Made in Besançon” quality label – all watchmaking operations from the creation of models to mass production – which has made its reputation.
LIP Himalaya: A French story
The Himalayan model was born out of a discussion between Fred Lip – mountain enthusiast – and his friend Lionel Terraymountain guide and great explorer.
Maurice Herzog, another mountaineer friend of Fred Lip, also greatly contributed to the success of this watch. He was indeed the first mountaineer of humanity to climb Annapurna and cross the barrier of 8000.
The Himalaya watch symbolizes this extraordinary performance.
