Call for solidarity for the elderly who remained in Ukraine

The objective of the organizers was to demonstrate for peace, not against anything or anyone. “We don’t need to remember what is happening in Ukraine”explains Franck Lacaze, “because the TV channels take care of it heavily. We are here above all to convey a message of peace and unity”.

The mobilization was also an opportunity for the associations to renew the call for solidarity. “Ukrainians need medicine, nappies for adults, wheelchairs”, details Ludmila, of the association Dobro Enfance, “because unfortunately the elderly do not leave. They do not want to leave their country and they really Need help.” A bus from this association leaves Biarritz every week for Ukraine.
