No manchois represented the department in the French junior karting championship. The first event was organized this Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March on the Gréville-Hague circuit. For two days, twenty young people competed. The Norman drivers are doing well, with two podiums. They all come from Seine Maritime. Lisa Billard (11), the only girl registered, won first place after her victory in the final. Arthur Dorison is third and Mattéo Dauvergne is in fifth place.
Other drivers in the junior and senior categories competed on the circuit during these two days, notably for the Normandy championship. This is the second consecutive year that the AS Karting circuit de la Hague hosts the French junior championship.
Accentuate the reputation of the La Hague circuit
“It’s very important, since we have very few competitions on the circuitexplains Rémi Chinenard, the president of the association. It must be known, because it is very popular with pilots. It’s a hilly circuit, which is not usually the case on the other tracks, which are very flat circuits. The pilots were particularly happy to be here. We have to be recognized as a very interesting track.” The La Hague track is also the longest in Normandy with its 1,345 meters.
This kind of test therefore allows the circuit to be more in the lightwith possible hosting of events with higher fame in the next few years.
