The day after a festive evening when the France team beat England (25-13) to win the Six Nations Tournament, the timing could not have been better chosen. The coach of the Blues Fabien Galthié has indeed extended his contract until 2027, declared the vice-president of the FFR Serge Simon to AFP, Sunday March 20.

“It’s done. It’s been extended until 2027. The constitution of his staff will be defined by and with him”, assured Simon in an interview with AFP. Arrived at the head of the XV of France in 2019, Fabien Galthié (who turns 53 this Sunday) has put the tricolor selection back on the front of the stage. Saturday, he won with his players the first Grand Slam since 2010, the tenth in the history of the selection.
Fabien Galthié was in contract until the 2023 World Cup organized in France. Extended for four more years, he will be able to work with a second World Cup in sight, that of 2027.
