With The vine is beautifuldirector Pascal Brouard wanted to immortalize this turning point in Quebec’s wine-growing history.

Produced over four seasons, his documentary series interferes in the daily life of colorful characters: pioneers of the first hour, such as the Orpailleur and the Vignoble de la Bauge, in Estrie, to the latest vintage of passionate winegrowers and winegrowers.

Through audacity and experience, and with increasingly convincing expertise, all these builders are taming a distinct terroir from which they derive a unique product that is gaining more and more favor from epicureans.

The vine is beautiful is presented starting this Thursday, March 17 at 8 p.m., on Télé-Québec.
