Number of deaths caused by an artillery strike on Thursday in Merefa, a village near Kharkiv, in the east of the country. A cultural center and a school were destroyed in the attack, injuring 25, the regional prosecutor’s office said.

Number of civilians evacuated from combat zones through humanitarian corridors on Thursday. That same day, eight of the nine corridors to be used for the evacuation of residents were open, according to Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.

In recent days, Russian forces have intensified their attacks in several towns across the country, including Mykolaiv in the southwest.
In Mariupol, a strategic port on the Sea of Azov, the town hall still does not know the results of the bombardment which destroyed a theater on Wednesday where hundreds of people had taken refuge. For his part, the Ukrainian emissary for human rights, Lioudmyla Denissova, affirmed that the shelter located in the building had resisted the bombardment.

Number of people evacuated from Mariupol through humanitarian corridors in one week. About 350,000 inhabitants live in the encircled city. Since the beginning of the war, the local authorities estimate that the attacks there have left more than 2,000 dead. According to the town hall, about 80% of the homes were destroyed.
