On Tuesday and yesterday, the Russian troops continued their bombardments, but without managing to make much progress on the ground.
In the northern part of the country, the situation remained the same in Kyiv. The opponent did not manage to encircle the city despite the efforts made. Russian soldiers were joined by Syrian fighters in Russia and Belarus.
If the attacks carried out yesterday did not obtain the hoped-for success in the north, they did however allow a greater advance in the south. The city of Mariupol, now surrounded, could soon find itself under the control of the Russians (see explanatory box below).

Diplomacy
While the situation on the ground has not changed significantly, negotiations and the diplomatic ballet are continuing.

For its part, the European Council, guarantor of the rule of law on the continent, proceeded to the exclusion of Russia. The decision has the effect of depriving the 145 million Russian citizens of access to the European Court of Human Rights.
