Since pre-season testing last week, also in Bahrain, Vettel is the second driver to test positive, after Australian Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren), who is cured and will therefore be able to participate in the GP.
Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, Mexican Sergio Pérez, Canadian Lance Stroll, Briton Lewis Hamilton, Finn Kimi Räikkönen and Russian Nikita Mazepin, as well as team leaders, have tested positive and missed GP.
