  • Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is ready to renounce his country’s NATO membership as Russian-Ukrainian talks continue.





  • Russia has banned Justin Trudeau and his cabinet from entering its territory, while Mr. Zelensky pleaded before Canadian parliamentarians for more support in the face of Russian aggression.
  • A Russian strike caused a fire in an apartment building in a western district of Kyiv, which killed at least four people.





  • A 36-hour curfew has been declared in the Ukrainian capital, from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Thursday.
  • Some 20,000 people were able to leave Mariupol on Tuesday through a humanitarian corridor, according to the Ukrainian presidency. But up to 300,000 people remain stuck there.
  • The Polish, Czech and Slovenian Prime Ministers, Mateusz Morawiecki, Petr Fiala and Janez Janša, who left Poland by train, arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday evening to affirm the European Union’s “unequivocal support” for Ukraine.
  • More than 3 million people have fled Ukraine, including 1.4 million children, or “virtually one child per second”.
