A building in the city of kyiv, Ukraine, was bombed on the morning of Monday, March 14. Is this the signal for the dreaded Russian assault on the city? Journalist Agnès Vahramian, present on site, sheds light.
If the city of kyiv (Ukraine) was bombarded, early in the morning, Monday March 14, it is not the sign of a Russian attack for all that. “The Russians are bombing, but have not yet mastered the strategic roads on kyiv. Irpin (Ukraine) [et] Brovary (Ukraine) are strategic for the Russians, they must be taken to be able to have access to the capital”reports the journalist Agnès Vahramian, present on the spot.
However, paved roads are essential for tanks, because the Russian army is above all an army of tanks, “and that we don’t roll tanks in the fields, at the risk of getting them bogged down”, explains the journalist. And the Ukrainians are less numerous than the Russians, they are on the other hand very mobile and do so “a lot of harm to tanks”concludes Agnes Vahramian.
