A documentary series from France 2, broadcast on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 March, will retrace the history of the gAlgerian war. A historical fresco written by Benjamin Stora and Georges-Marc Benamou.

Since his election, acts have multiplied, such as the opening of archives concerning acts committed in connection with the Algerian war.
Journalist Georges-Marc Benamou, author of this series-documentary, wished to reveal the existence of lies in this conflict. “There are only lies and taboos in this war“, he explains. He adds that it was not until 2002 that France recognized that there had been a war. Through this documentary, he evoked a desire “to discover the unknown aspects of the birth of Algerian consciousness“.
