The history of the Algerian war in a documentary series on France 2

Journalist Georges-Marc Benamou, author of this series​-documentary, wished to reveal the existence of lies in this conflict. “There are only lies and taboos in this war“, he explains. He adds that it was not until 2002 that France recognized that there had been a war. Through this documentary, he evoked a desire “to discover the unknown aspects of the birth of Algerian consciousness“.
