Despite the absence of Bastia supporters, banned from traveling, there were still incidents last Saturday during the derby between the ACA and the SCB. Incidents caused at the end of the match by a group of people installed in the Acéiste stand of honor and who attacked verbally and especially physically the Bastiais leaders and those who accompanied them. In a press release, the SCB speaks of an attack “loose and inexplicable” towards its President and employees, as well as captain Christophe Vincent who, suspended, was in the stands and former captain Gilles Cioni. “I never thought I would experience this in a stadium in Corsica” wrote the latter on his twitter account.
An investigation and sanctions
As for the Ajaccien leaders, they denounce this act “unspeakable” and announce the opening of an investigation and sanctions. Christian Leca, President of the ACA: “ It’s unacceptable, intolerable that leaders are molested, whatever the club, whether it’s Bastia or someone else it is unacceptable to have behavior like that, especially since it is not the first time that leaders of visiting clubs have been molested or insulted by people who are there. I believe that this is the 4th or 5th time that regrettable events like this have happened. Anyway, we the club, we launched an investigation to find the people who committed this act and punish them. I had Claude Ferrandi (the president of Bastia), of course at the end of the match and I sent him a message afterwards of course, but I even had Gilles Cioni I spoke with him, I told him, unfortunately, that I find it small, lamentable. »
