According to the Haute-Corse prefecture, 38 people were injured in Bastia on Sunday March 13 after a new demonstration in support of Yvan Colonna. A review “highly scalable”, specifies the services of the State. Among the injured in the clashes between demonstrators on one side and police and gendarmes on the other, there are 24 members of the police, 13 rioters and a passerby.

The demonstration, which began at 3 p.m., brought together 7,000 people, before degenerating around the prefecture, said the prefectural services. Nearly 300 hooded individuals threw molotov cocktails, cobblestones or agricultural bombs towards the building, the police or the community of Corsica.
At 8 p.m., clashes continued in different areas of the city. The prefect calls on the population of downtown Bastia to avoid leaving their homes and says he strongly condemns this violence.
