An investigation for suspicion of child abuse was opened in September by the Paris prosecutor’s office against a canteen supervisor of a school in Neuilly-Plaisance (Seine-Saint-Denis), reports France Bleu Paris Wednesday 3 November, confirming information from the newspaper The Parisian. Several students denounce bodily violence inflicted during lunchtime, such as pulling the ears, pinching, brooms or even pulling the arms with great force. Eighteen complaints have been filed against the 42-year-old man.
The first children to have mentioned this violence on the part of the supervisor did so in the first days after the start of the school year. Informed, a teacher alerted the municipality on September 16. The next day, the supervisor was suspended. This man, who has worked in the school for two years, had never been talked about before: no report had been raised by students, parents, or educational teams, specifies the town hall.
The municipality adds to France Bleu Paris that it will maintain this suspension for the duration of the investigation, which was entrusted to the family protection brigade (BPLF) of Neuilly-sur-Marne. The school administration brings in a school psychologist in the establishment.
