Yukon and most of Saskatchewan keep Standard Time year-round while Premiers of Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec say they are open to ditching the time change.
British Columbia Premier John Horgan passed legislation three years ago to allow the province to use daylight saving time year-round.
However, Mr. Horgan said Friday that his province will not abandon the twice-a-year daylight saving time unless the three U.S. states in the same time zone — Washington, Oregon and California — also do so.
Mr. Horgan says he hopes a Washington state governor’s bill will win congressional approval this year, meaning British Columbians could be on their final clock change.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford also said Friday he would like to see the province stick to Daylight Savings Time and is looking forward to the long summer days.
Most provinces as well as the territories of Nunavut and the Northwest Territories will advance their clocks one hour on Sunday night.
