In the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, residents are trying to continue their normal lives as war rages across the country. The journalists from 20 Hours shared their daily life, and shared it on Friday March 11.
In Kiev (Ukraine), it was -8°C on Friday March 11, and the day began with patience. Residents have been waiting for half an hour in front of a supermarket. Inside, many rays are empty or very sparse. With very few passers-by, Kiev has the appearance of a sleepy city. Shops and restaurants are closed. Some banks are still welcoming customers, but you have to wait a long time. In a church, Ukrainians pray on their knees, on the verge of tears. The day is ending in the capital, and the advertisements remind us that just a fortnight ago, life was still sweet.
