A small financial air pocket which does not really give reason to worry for him: owner of the Palais Vivienne, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, he would have several tens of millions of euros.
However, his fellow collectors are beginning to ask questions, as reported Le Figaro. Indeed, at the opening of the auction this Saturday, March 12 in Fontainebleau, we will find an ewer and its vermeil basin, worth 120 to 150,000 euros, which belong to the former chronicler of France 2.
A sale that intrigues, while the collector has been in troubled waters since the affair of the clandestine dinners in his restaurant during the period of closure of the restaurants, in the midst of a pandemic. He had also been thanked for the issue of Sophie Davant after having posed for a photo with Jean-Marie Le Pen, whose birthday he had celebrated.
A few media outbursts that are beginning to cost him dearly in his rather discreet environment. At the end of 2021, already, he had already had to sell some of his objects discreetly, 33 lots which had brought him between 1.3 and 1.7 million euros to pay off his debts. And the rumors have been stubborn since that moment, in particular because he had not tried to raise the stakes on his behalf, preferring to collect the money in anonymity.
He had, moreover, been obliged to justify himself. “Indeed, I sold, not out of joy of heart, to pay the financial costs of my Palais Vivienne for which I got into debt on purchase, i.e. 30,000 to 40,000 euros per month, when I only received no state aid during the pandemic. I almost took my hat off to France but I still love Napoleon so much“, he had explained.

The famous collector wanted to express his “fed up” and let it be known that his Palais Vivienne is doing wonderfully. “I confess that I have no financial problems. Everything is going very well, the Palais Vivienne is starting up again. Indeed, I did not have help during the Covid, but like many people“, confides the blond with blue glasses.
