At the end of 2021, the gendarmes of Sablé-sur-Sarthe arrested two men in Pau and Carqueiranne in the Var suspected of having committed several scams on electric vehicles near automotive professionals. A fraud estimated at more than one and a half million euros with an activity base in Vion in the south of Sarthe.
Between 2019 and July 2020, they would have concluded the sale of several hundred vehicles to around fifteen professionals across France by promising tax exemptions linked to the ecological bonus. An abusive sale and in addition, the two men never delivered the cars. They made themselves known in particular at trade fairs and advanced false sales pitches. Since their arrest, they have been placed under judicial supervision. They are prosecuted for organized gang money laundering, organized gang fraud, criminal association and concealed work.
They are due to appear on March 28 before the Le Mans court.
