Last night, on France 2, Nagui and Leïla Kaddour presented the special program United for Ukraine, live from the House of Radio and Music. The stars had come in large numbers to sing for the benefit of the Red Cross. And among them, a certain Jane Birkin, that some Internet users have not missed, on the Web.
Jane Birkin tackled on Twitter
She who had to interpret Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley in duet with Eddy de Pretto, accompanied on the piano by Sofiane Pamart unfortunately skipped a few words on the teleprompter, from the start of the song. Arriving too soon at the chorus, she found herself taking a long break, before picking up the thread. Fortunately, the pianist immediately furnished this little dumpling with a sublime melody.

Unfortunately, on Twitter, we have to believe that music lovers were out on Wednesday evening. If some good souls praised the emotion of this performance, other critics with perfect pitch tackled: “the magnificent Jane massacred this beautiful song”, “Horrible performance by Birkin. total massacre…”, “Fortunately there is the pianist, the 2 others suck, to be polite!”, “Live massacre bobo germanopratine”, “Pathetic for Jane it’s wrong”.
A charity evening
In total, it is still 2,284,000 viewers (i.e. 14.3% market share) who watched United for Ukraine, with other interpretations by Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Zazie, Clara Luciani, Nolwenn Leroy, Barbara Pravi, Nicola Sirkis, Julien Clerc, Pascal Obispo but also Florent Pagny. At the end of the show, 7.8 million were collected “as Nagui announced. And to thank the generous donors “It’s absolutely wonderful”. And that’s the main thing.
