The Philosophy of Modern Songwhich will be released on November 8 in the United States, will be his first book since Chronicles, volume 1published in 2004.
The folk star began writing in 2010 and his new work includes, says his publisher, more than 60 texts, including artists such as Hank Williams and Nina Simone, and the art of composing texts and melodies.
“The publication of Bob Dylan’s brilliant, kaleidoscopic work will be a global tribute to song by one of the greatest artists of our time,” Simon and Schuster publishing boss Jonathan Karp said in a statement.

Bob Dylan, who appeared on the New York scene in the early 1960s, has since sold more than 125 million albums worldwide – and, at 80, continues his concerts with a current tour that is due to continue until in 2024.
