It was Adam Shefter of the ESPN network who reported the transaction, which would involve several players, including Wilson and Drew Lock, who will take over the management of Seattle. The Seahawks also reportedly got several draft picks, including two first-rounders.
According to Shefter, the Broncos and Seahawks had been negotiating for two weeks and Rodgers’ decision to stay in Green Bay wouldn’t have been a factor. The Broncos’ first pick was Wilson.
The 33-year-old quarterback played his first 10 seasons with the Seahawks. He was named to the Pro Bowl nine times and appeared in the Super Bowl twice, winning after the 2013 season.
