Welcoming Ukrainian refugees continues in Provence. This Sunday 13 people, mothers and their children, were installed at Pennes-Mirabeau. These families just spent their first night in a former children’s home belonging to the Department of the Bouches-du-Rhone. This establishment can accommodate up to 50 people, the Department therefore specifies that other refugees could be accommodated there.
These families were greeted this Sunday by the president of the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône. Martine Vassal, who ensures that the Department is ready to welcome other refugees who urgently need a roof: “Local initiatives, all put together, can weigh on this conflict and its consequences. For the time being, the urgency is to provide permanent support to those who have had to leave their country and who have nothing left. “, says Martine Vassal.
