Quebec wrestler Sami Zayn had the chance to perform in front of a particularly partisan crowd, Sunday, at Place Bell in Laval, on the occasion of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) event presented in the Belle Province. Despite the support of the thousands in the amphitheater, Zayn bowed to Ricochet.
This means that Zayn was unable to get his hands on the belt of the intercontinental champion, held by his opponent of the day.
In the final moments of the duel, Zayn was able to counter a maneuver by Ricochet, under the “oles” of the crowd, but the latter finally pushed him back with a series of blows, before throwing him to the ground at using a spectacular maneuver.
Ricochet landed the final blow by coming up on the third cable and performing a back somersault on Zayn. The referee then tapped the floor three times, signaling the loss of the crowd favorite.
A beautiful card for Quebecers
Wrestling fans gathered at Place Bell were able to savor a card filled with several WWE stars. Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Ronda Rousey was in action, among other things, teaming with Naomi, against Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville.
