Roads, streets, sidewalks and parking lots could become slippery and dangerous.
“Adapt your driving to changing road conditions. Assess the possibility of delaying all non-essential travel until conditions improve,” advises Environment Canada.
The whole of southern Quebec is hit by a weather alert for freezing rain.
For most of the affected regions, the freezing rain will change to rain at noon, according to Environment Canada forecasts.
In the Quebec region, ice accumulations of 10 to 15 millimeters are expected during the day.
The snow will change to freezing rain by noon and continue overnight Sunday into Monday.
