The journalist Jean-Christophe Galeazzi details in the 23 hours of franceinfo, Saturday March 5, the various tendencies of the last Ipsos poll concerning the next presidential election. Emmanuel Macron would come out on top in the first round with 30.5% of the votes.
The presidential election of 2022 is approaching and for the moment, it is Emmanuel Macron who is leading the race in public opinion. The journalist Jean-Christophe Galeazzi, present on the set of 23 hours of franceinfo Saturday March 5, is based on the results of an Ipsos poll in which the current President of the Republic is credited with 30.5% of intentions to vote in the first round. “+6.5% in one month, it is a very strong progression which leads her to double that of the second in this poll: Marine Le Pen. The RN candidate seems to be holding her own”, he announces. He also underlines that behind Emmanuel Macron, “there is a block of four candidates in a pocket handkerchief” : Marine Le Pen (14.5%), Éric Zemmour (13%), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (12%), Valérie Pécresse (11.5%).
Jean-Luc Mélenchon will be able to count on new support during this presidential campaign: the popular primary. “The collective, which always aims to unite the left, is now calling for Jean-Luc Mélenchon to vote”, says Jean-Christophe Galeazzi. The journalist recalls that the candidate of La France Insoumise came third in this election won by Christiane Taubira. For her part, Marine Le Pen “falls but rather holds up, which is not the case for its main competitor, Éric Zemmour, who would need to relaunch his campaign tomorrow (Sunday March 6) in Toulon (Var) with the support of Marion Maréchal”, explains the journalist. Valérie Pécresse, she, “seems to unscrew: it loses four points and perhaps pays for the departures of certain Republican executives towards Éric Zemmour on the one hand, towards Emmanuel Macron on the other”he adds.
